what's new Sunday?
Drinking my carmel truffle decaf with s/f creamer, hum...
It has been a hot and steamy weekend here.....more storms last evening but most were north of Sturgis ....
Holland and the Grand Rapids area got hit twice at least.
We were under a tornado watch until midnite. It's 72 deg. here this morning at 7 a.m. Hope Eileen's area is okay.
The scale is finally moving again -- Praise the Lord. I so want to have 100 lbs gone by Aug. 17th, my surgiversary.
But I will have to be satisfied with whatever comes off.
News doesn't sound real good on Margo's g'ma. Let's keep the prayers going for that lovely lady and her family.
Her g'ma is well known in this community -- very active for 90 and so well liked.
Time to have a bite of breakfast and get ready for early church.....thank goodness we have a/c in the sanctuary now.

C'mon over, the coffee is always brewing here.
Today is computer shopping day. This one is old and tired, time for retirement.
I rolled up my sleeves and dove into pure, yucky, JUNK in the basement. I have no idea why I stored the broken lamp shade, scraps of wrapping paper, and a mountain of other waste. Tom worked up a sweat hauling it out but was so happy to see his pack-rat wife tossing the accumulated mess.
We went out for dinner to a new (to us) restaurant. It was a family owned little place with an extensive menu. I had the broiled seafood platter which was better than many of the finer places prepare. The owners circulated through the rooms and greeted people at each table. Their home-made dessert list was huge, but Tom refused dessert. He said he can't eat dessert in front of me. I really wouldn't have minded as long as it stayed out of our house. That was a nice Saturday Night Date.
This warm weather is bliss. It feels so good to have feeling in my hands and feet. The temp was around 95 degrees, I was puttering on the deck and didn't have a bit of 'dew' on my brow. Two years ago I would have been dripping down to my toes. I love my RNY!!!
Annette
Annette,
I know what you mean!!!!! I love the 95 degree weather too. I have feeling in my fee also and I am not cold all the time.
Tevia on the other hand hates it. All he does is sleep when it is so hot but in the sun. I dont get it.
I told him if he doesnt move out of the sun his nose will get sunburned!!!!!
Anyway I am off for 2 days and we are going to go out and about today.
Carla
Carla,
Remind Tevia to wear sunscreen. As if he would listen. Tell him Annie said to stay out of the sun.
I put fans on the floor and the cats clustered around them. Seeing our pudgie Isabella try to roll on her back for relief was so sad. She is built like me before WLS. I broke down and turned on the AC. I can go outside to get warm, they have no place to go and cool off.
The living room is kept cooler for the cats, the bedroom kept warmer for me. Not one of them have curled up in the bay window, so they must like staying cool.
Have fun on your days off.
Annette
Gee, when the What's New comes on, I want to put Sunday's news and there isn't any yet!!
Saturday's news was that I started at $4.... some news huh?
Then to pick up my sister (she's making this a habit I need to break), and we went to some thrift stores... now mind you, I love her, but she IS a sibling.... and she bores VERY quickly.... I was going to look for clothes but you KNOW my closet runneth over... so stopped at the restaurant supply and bought a new omelet pan and a spoon... Took my sister home about 2:30 and thought I'd just stop at the Mall....
Please, please... if you EVER hear me say... stop at the Mall, catch me before I can get in the door... Sears was a first stop...looking at washers and dryers... OH MY... $$$$$$$$
So, since I wasn't in the mood to spend $1,200 at one pop.... (I could take that to the casino and lose it but I'd throw up in the parking lot and then I'd have to lie to everybody I met)....I mosey'd on down to the little shops along the way...working my way to Dillards on the other end of the mall. Found the mustard-colored cami I had been looking for... to match the shoes I bought Tuesday...now I've got a complete outfit.... wandered into another and found a pair of cute black flats... mine.... then another store... mine... and made my way to Dillards... SHOE DEPARTMENT...found a pair of brown calf that will go great with slacks... $12.50... and a pair of canvas platform for $23.... both on sale... Didn't leave the mall until 8 p.m. Not sure what I spent... as I just used the ATM card and it kept saying 'approved'. Guess I better check today.
I'm becoming a natural redhead today..... or will be in another 20 minutes.... remembered to put the gunk on my eyebrows this time. Had my brow and lip waxed yesterday, first time.... now to get rid of those damned nose hairs... old age ain't fun. I'm going for a hot rock pedicure today.... new place just opened, half price. I'll get her to 'pluck' my ONE leg hair while I'm in there. It looks like a whip.
Found a $460 check in a stack of mail from February. You know I don't do 'mailbox' well. Apparently, I don't open it when I get it in the house. AND, I found out my house payment went down $50 a month... so I've got a cushion in escrow, I guess.
On the workfront.... it's just work. I'm still training folks... and working over to keep up... I have 46 tasks that will hit 'red' today.. so guess I'll work from home later this afternoon..but right now I want to get the gunk off my hair, put on a cute little outfit, get on the makeup and head for my Sunday paper and coffee at $4... and as my granddaughter says, "visit'.
Thanks for just letting me ramble idly... I did do a protein drink this morning. This four pounds is kicking my arse. I may just WALK to $4 today... it's only a mile!!
Janet
Janet,
You are just like the Energizer Bunny. "Shop till you Drop" was invented for you. How you make me smile thank you!!!
Speaking of 'natural redhead' ... I tried strawberry blonde last time - booooring. Today I think I'll go get the "OHMYGODMOMHOWCOULDYOU?" color again. You think I'm in a box? Ha ha - my youngest daughter is crammed in an atom. Tom calls her a tightass. She shudders at my choice of hair color, make-up and would faint at well, we won't go into that today .
You are my hero
